Diablo IV's long-rumored jump to Nintendo Switch 2 may finally be close, according to a new report from French leak outlet Dealabs. This is unconfirmed — there's no word yet from Blizzard or Activision, and it should be treated as a rumor until one of them says otherwise.
The claim comes from billbil-kun, a Dealabs leaker with a strong track record on retail and release-date intel, who says Diablo IV is set to launch on Switch 2 in the second half of September 2026, with September 15 or September 18 floated as likely dates. The reported price is $69.99 (€69.99 / £62.99), in line with what Blizzard already charges for the game on other platforms. Billbil-kun's report is built on two separate classification-board listings — one out of Taiwan, one out of Indonesia — both pointing toward a Switch 2 release, which is the kind of dual-source corroboration that tends to lend leaks like this more weight.
A few specifics from the report worth flagging. The physical release would reportedly be code-in-a-box rather than a full cartridge, similar to how Baldur's Gate 3 and Final Fantasy VII Remake shipped on Switch — meaning the box gets you a download code, not the game data itself. It's also still unclear whether the Vessel of Hatred expansion would be bundled in at that price point; Blizzard has talked about bundling it with the Switch 2 version elsewhere, but billbil-kun says he can't confirm that detail from what he's seen.
There's also speculation, not confirmation, that an official reveal could land during Geoff Keighley's Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live on August 25 — a natural stage for it, given Nintendo's already-confirmed Gamescom booth presence this year, but that's speculation layered on top of an already-unconfirmed leak, so treat it as a guess rather than a date to circle.
Nearly three years after its original PC, Xbox, and PlayStation release, a Switch 2 port of Diablo IV would make sense as a system-seller-adjacent addition to the console's growing library of ported AAA titles. But until Blizzard or Nintendo confirms anything directly, this stays in rumor territory — we'll update if and when there's an official announcement.
