A new leak claims Game Freak is developing a third entry in the Pokemon Legends line, set a thousand years before Sword & Shield in a prehistoric version of the Galar region. The rumor traces back to the same October 2025 breach of Game Freak documents that originally surfaced the Winds & Waves leaks, and it's being treated separately from that Gen 10 rumor mill since it describes a different game entirely.

The leaked pitch materials reportedly describe a Pikmin-style mechanic that would let players command up to 30 Pokemon at once, forming alliances with wild Pokemon rather than catching them outright in at least part of the game. The stated goal of that horde is fighting oversized Dynamax enemies, with part of the plot apparently centered on the player character creating the first-ever Gigantamax Poke Ball. Internal documents are said to compare the game's feel to Xenoblade Chronicles X, which would suggest real-time combat elements rather than the traditional turn-based system Legends: Arceus and Legends: Z-A have used.

Leaked notes point to a 2027 release window, though the same documents reportedly flag that internal development adjustments could push it to 2028. As with every other leak from this breach, none of it has been confirmed by Game Freak or The Pokemon Company, and the game hasn't been announced in any form.
