Nintendo has acknowledged two bugs affecting Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and says a fix is already in the works, though no release date has been given yet.

The first is straightforward: music during battles plays noticeably too quiet, something a number of players flagged after the Switch 2 Edition's launch. The second is more specific — in New Game+, a Driver's third accessory slot can appear to vanish after a particular sequence: expanding accessory slots to three via an Accessory Expander Kit (obtained by trading Bonus EXP with a Traveling Bard), then opening the System menu, selecting amiibo, scanning one, and receiving Bonus WP. Nintendo has clarified that equipped accessories aren't actually lost when this happens — it's a display issue, not a save-corrupting one.

Nothing here should stop anyone from playing in the meantime, but if a third accessory slot seems to disappear after an amiibo scan, this is why.
